Riet Vell is a nature reserve in Delta del Ebre in Spain, one of Europe’s most important wetlands, a fundamental habitat for hundreds of thousands of wading birds. Organized by SEO/Birdlife with support from la Caja de Ahorrs del Mediterraneo and volunteer workers, the reserve carries out a sustainable development project with ecological rise cultivation, environmental education and scientific research in order to maintain the diverse ecosystem in the delta.
