The Cuban government is strictly controlling all travel abroad. Most Cubans have never been outside the country and among the younger generations the lack of liberty is creating frustration. Though Miami is just a few kilometres away at the other side of the sea, for the majority of Cubans leaving Castro’s island remains a distant dream.
